Uses
Used for prevention and treatment of vitamin B12 deficiency and megaloblastic anemia.
Do not use if
Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to cyanocobalamin or cobalt.
Side effects
Generally well tolerated. Rarely may cause rash, itching, diarrhea, or injection-site reactions.
Warnings
Underlying causes of vitamin B12 deficiency should be investigated and monitored.
