Uses

Used to reduce the risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, and other atherothrombotic events in patients with acute coronary syndromes, recent stroke, recent myocardial infarction, or peripheral arterial disease.

Do not use if

Contraindicated in active pathological bleeding and hypersensitivity to clopidogrel or formulation components.

Side effects

Bleeding, bruising, epistaxis, gastrointestinal discomfort, and rash may occur.

Warnings

Increases bleeding risk. Reduced effectiveness may occur in patients with certain CYP2C19 genetic variants.
