Uses

Used for the treatment of mild to moderate ulcerative colitis. Helps reduce intestinal inflammation and maintain symptom control.

Do not use if

Contraindicated in hypersensitivity to salicylates, mesalamine, or related compounds.

May cause headache, abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea, or joint pain.

Use cautiously in renal or hepatic impairment. Monitor for worsening colitis symptoms.

A prodrug that releases mesalamine in the colon, where it exerts local anti-inflammatory effects.

Store at room temperature in a dry place.
