Uses
Used in prostate cancer, advanced breast cancer, endometriosis, and selected gynecologic conditions. May be used before endometrial ablation procedures.
Do not use if
Hypersensitivity to goserelin, GnRH analogues, or product components. Contraindicated during pregnancy except in specific oncology situations.
Side effects
Hot flashes, sweating, headache, decreased libido, sexual dysfunction, and mood changes may occur.
Warnings
Tumor flare may occur at treatment initiation. Pregnancy should be avoided during treatment for benign conditions.
How it works
A GnRH agonist that suppresses pituitary gonadotropin secretion, reducing sex hormone production.
