Uses
Used for treatment of vulvovaginal candidiasis (vaginal yeast infection).
Do not use if
Do not use if you have never had a vaginal yeast infection diagnosed by a physician. Contraindicated in hypersensitivity to tioconazole or formulation components.
Side effects
Local burning, itching, irritation, rash, or discomfort may occur. Medical evaluation is recommended if symptoms persist or serious symptoms develop.
Warnings
For vaginal use only. Seek medical advice for first-time symptoms, recurrent infections, fever, abdominal pain, foul-smelling discharge, or lack of improvement.
How it works
An imidazole antifungal that inhibits ergosterol synthesis in fungal cell membranes.
