Uses

Anticoagulant used in selected thrombotic conditions and as a direct thrombin inhibitor.

Do not use if

Active bleeding, severe bleeding disorders, or hypersensitivity to hirudin products.

Bleeding, bruising, injection-site reactions, and anemia may occur.

Monitor for bleeding complications and use cautiously with other anticoagulants.

Directly inhibits thrombin and prevents fibrin clot formation.

Store according to manufacturer recommendations.
