Uses

Used for treatment of susceptible bacterial infections including respiratory, skin, genitourinary, and certain atypical infections.

Do not use if

Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to tetracyclines.

Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, photosensitivity, and esophageal irritation may occur.

May cause permanent tooth discoloration during tooth development and should generally be avoided in young children and pregnancy.

Tetracycline antibiotic that inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit.

Store at room temperature and protect from moisture.
