Uses

Used in combination with other antiretroviral medicines for treatment of HIV-1 infection in adults and pediatric patients.

Do not use if

Hypersensitivity to efavirenz or concomitant use with certain interacting medicines such as elbasvir/grazoprevir.

Dizziness, insomnia, abnormal dreams, rash, psychiatric symptoms, and liver abnormalities may occur.

Monitor for neuropsychiatric effects, rash, hepatotoxicity, and QT prolongation risk.

Non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor that suppresses HIV replication.

Store at controlled room temperature in the original container.
