Uses

Used as a toothpaste or oral rinse for the maintenance of oral hygiene. Helps reduce dental plaque, gingivitis, and bad breath. Provides antimicrobial protection and mild abrasive cleaning of tooth surfaces.

Do not use if

Known hypersensitivity to chlorhexidine, propolis, or any component of the formulation. Avoid in patients with bee product allergies.

Side effects

Generally well tolerated. Chlorhexidine may cause temporary tooth staining and altered taste sensation with prolonged use. Propolis may rarely cause local allergic reactions in sensitive individuals.

Warnings

For external oral use only; do not swallow. Keep away from eyes. Prolonged use of chlorhexidine-containing preparations may cause staining of teeth and tongue; professional cleaning may be required.

How it works

Chlorhexidine disrupts bacterial cell membranes providing broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity. Sodium bicarbonate neutralizes oral acids and provides mild abrasion. Calcium carbonate acts as an abrasive to remove plaque. Propolis contributes antioxidant and antibacterial properties.
