Uses

Do not use if
Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to chlorhexidine gluconate or any formulation ingredient.
Side effects
Common adverse effects include tooth staining, increased calculus formation, altered taste perception, oral irritation, and local allergic reactions.
Warnings
May increase supragingival calculus formation. Its effect on periodontitis has not been established.
