Uses

Used for temporary relief of menstrual symptoms including headache, bloating, cramps, backache, muscular aches, irritability, and water-weight gain associated with menstrual periods.

Do not use if

Do not use with other acetaminophen-containing products. Contraindicated in patients with known allergy to any ingredient. Avoid in patients with severe hepatic impairment or a history of alcohol-related liver disease.

Side effects

May cause drowsiness due to pyrilamine (antihistamine). Severe liver damage may occur with excessive acetaminophen use. Other possible effects include dry mouth, urinary retention, and blurred vision from the antihistaminic component.

Warnings

This product contains acetaminophen; avoid exceeding 4,000 mg total daily dose from all sources. Do not use with alcohol. May cause drowsiness; avoid driving or operating machinery. Keep out of reach of children.

How it works

Paracetamol provides analgesic and antipyretic effects via inhibition of central prostaglandin synthesis. Pyrilamine, an H1-antihistamine, reduces histamine-mediated edema and has mild sedative effects. Pamabrom is a mild diuretic (xanthine derivative) that helps relieve bloating and water retention.

Store at 25°C (77°F); excursions permitted between 15°–30°C (59°–86°F). See packaging for expiration date.
