Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to sulfonamides, chlorhexidine, or silver compounds. Avoid use in premature infants and neonates. Avoid use near the eyes.

How it works
Silver sulfadiazine releases silver ions that interfere with bacterial DNA and disrupts cell membranes. Chlorhexidine binds to bacterial cell walls causing lysis. Together they provide synergistic broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity.
