Uses
Used to produce pupil dilation for ophthalmic examination and procedures.
Do not use if
Hypersensitivity to cyclopentolate, phenylephrine, or any component of the formulation.
Side effects
Blurred vision, photophobia, eye irritation, burning, and increased intraocular pressure may occur.
Warnings
For ophthalmic use only. Serious cardiovascular reactions may occur rarely, especially with higher phenylephrine exposure.
How it works
Cyclopentolate is an anticholinergic agent and phenylephrine is an adrenergic agonist. Together they produce mydriasis more effectively than either agent alone.
Storage
Store at room temperature in the original sterile container.
