Uses
Used in ophthalmology to produce pupil dilation and cycloplegia during eye examinations.
Do not use if
Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to the drug or its components.
Side effects
Blurred vision, photophobia, ocular irritation, increased intraocular pressure, and rarely CNS effects may occur.
Warnings
For ophthalmic use only. Infants and children are more susceptible to CNS and cardiopulmonary adverse effects.
