Uses

Anthracycline antineoplastic agent used in the treatment of acute myeloid leukemia, including therapy-related AML and AML with myelodysplasia-related changes.

Do not use if

History of serious hypersensitivity to daunorubicin or formulation components.

Side effects

May cause myelosuppression, hemorrhage, cardiotoxicity, hypersensitivity reactions, nausea, and tissue injury if extravasation occurs.

Warnings

Monitor for cardiotoxicity, severe myelosuppression, hemorrhage, and infusion-related complications.
