Uses
Recombinant follicle-stimulating hormone used for ovulation induction in anovulatory infertility, controlled ovarian stimulation for assisted reproduction, and induction of spermatogenesis in selected men with hypogonadotropic hypogonadism.
Do not use if
Contraindicated in hypersensitivity to recombinant FSH products, primary gonadal failure, uncontrolled endocrine disorders, and certain reproductive tract abnormalities.
Side effects
Injection-site reactions, headache, abdominal discomfort, ovarian enlargement, and ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome may occur. Multiple pregnancy is possible.
Warnings
Should be used under specialist supervision. Monitor for ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome and thromboembolic complications.
