Uses
Used to reduce elevated intraocular pressure in open-angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension.
Do not use if
Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to dorzolamide or formulation components.
Side effects
Burning, stinging, eye discomfort, bitter taste, and superficial keratitis may occur.
Warnings
Use caution in patients with sulfonamide hypersensitivity. Monitor for ocular allergic reactions and corneal problems.
How it works
A carbonic anhydrase inhibitor that decreases aqueous humor production and lowers intraocular pressure.
