Uses
Used for the treatment of hypertension when combination therapy is appropriate.
Do not use if
Anuria, hypersensitivity to components, and concomitant use with aliskiren in certain patients.
Side effects
Dizziness, headache, low blood pressure, increased urination, and electrolyte disturbances may occur.
Warnings
Monitor blood pressure, kidney function, and electrolyte levels.
How it works
Olmesartan blocks angiotensin II receptors while hydrochlorothiazide promotes diuresis.
