Uses

Used in the treatment of intestinal amoebiasis and mixed amoebic infections.

Do not use if

Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to either component.

Nausea, abdominal discomfort, diarrhea, metallic taste, and headache may occur.

Avoid alcohol during treatment and shortly afterward. Use cautiously in hepatic impairment.

Metronidazole acts against tissue amoebae while diloxanide helps eliminate intestinal luminal forms.

Store at room temperature away from moisture.
