Do not use if
Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to bimatoprost or any component of the formulation.
Side effects
The most common adverse reaction is conjunctival hyperemia (45%). Other effects include eyelash changes (increased length, thickness, number), iris and periorbital pigmentation, ocular pruritus, and macular edema.
Warnings
May cause permanent iris pigmentation changes. Gradual eyelash changes are usually reversible. Use with caution in patients with active intraocular inflammation or macular edema. Contains benzalkonium chloride preservative which may cause eye irritation.
How it works
Bimatoprost is a prostaglandin analog and synthetic structural analog of prostamide. It lowers intraocular pressure by increasing aqueous humor outflow through both the trabecular meshwork and uveoscleral routes.
Storage
Store at room temperature between 15–25°C. Discard the open container within four weeks. Keep away from children.
