Uses

Used as a topical anesthetic on intact skin and certain mucosal surfaces before minor procedures.

Do not use if

Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to amide-type local anesthetics or formulation components.

Local redness, swelling, burning, itching, and altered sensation may occur.

Excessive application may cause systemic toxicity or methemoglobinemia.

Provides local anesthesia by blocking sodium channels and preventing nerve impulse conduction.

Store at room temperature.
