Uses
Indicated for rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, plaque psoriasis, and selected juvenile inflammatory conditions.
Do not use if
Contraindicated in patients with sepsis. Avoid use in active serious infections.
Side effects
Injection-site reactions and infections are common. Serious infections, malignancies, hematologic and neurologic reactions may occur.
Warnings
Increased risk of serious infections including tuberculosis and opportunistic infections. Monitor for malignancy and other serious adverse effects.
How it works
A TNF inhibitor that binds tumor necrosis factor and reduces inflammatory signaling involved in autoimmune diseases.
