Uses

Used for symptomatic relief of cold and flu symptoms including fever, headache, sore throat, and body aches. Paracetamol provides antipyretic and analgesic effects, while vitamin C supports immune function and acts as an antioxidant.

Do not use if

Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to paracetamol or vitamin C, severe hepatic impairment, or a history of oxalate kidney stones. Caution in glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency.

Side effects

Paracetamol is generally well tolerated at therapeutic doses. Hepatotoxicity may occur with overdose. High doses of vitamin C may cause gastrointestinal upset, diarrhea, and kidney stones with prolonged use.

Warnings

Patients should avoid concurrent use of other paracetamol-containing products to prevent accidental overdose and hepatotoxicity. Alcohol consumption should be minimized during treatment. Use with caution in patients with renal impairment.

How it works

Paracetamol inhibits prostaglandin synthesis in the central nervous system and raises the pain threshold, producing analgesic and antipyretic effects. Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) is an essential water-soluble antioxidant involved in collagen synthesis and immune modulation.
