Uses

Used as supportive therapy in hepatic encephalopathy and conditions associated with elevated ammonia levels.

Do not use if

Contraindicated in severe hypersensitivity and severe renal impairment.

Nausea, vomiting, abdominal discomfort, and diarrhea may occur.

Use cautiously in patients with significant renal dysfunction.

Promotes ammonia detoxification through enhancement of the urea cycle and glutamine synthesis.

Store in a cool, dry place.
