Uses
Used as a venoprotective and capillary-stabilizing agent for chronic venous insufficiency, hemorrhoids, and associated symptoms such as leg heaviness, pain, and edema. Vitamin C enhances collagen synthesis and antioxidant support.
Do not use if
Contraindicated in known hypersensitivity to diosmin, hesperidin, vitamin C, or any excipients. Use with caution in patients with a history of oxalate kidney stones due to vitamin C content.
Side effects
Generally well tolerated. May cause mild gastrointestinal discomfort such as nausea or dyspepsia. Allergic reactions including skin rash are rare. High-dose vitamin C may cause diarrhea or kidney stones.
Warnings
Not a substitute for surgical or medical treatment of severe venous disease. Consult a physician before use during pregnancy. Interaction with anticoagulants is possible; monitor closely.
How it works
Diosmin and hesperidin are flavonoid glycosides that improve venous tone, reduce capillary permeability, and inhibit inflammatory mediators. They enhance lymphatic drainage and reduce red blood cell and platelet aggregation. Vitamin C is an essential cofactor for collagen and elastin biosynthesis.
Storage
Store below 25°C, away from heat, light, and moisture. Keep in original packaging.
