Used to improve glycemic control in type 2 diabetes and reduce cardiovascular and kidney risks in selected patients.

Do not use if

Contraindicated in patients with personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma, MEN2, or serious hypersensitivity to semaglutide.

Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and decreased appetite may occur.

May increase the risk of thyroid C-cell tumors, pancreatitis, and diabetic retinopathy complications.

GLP-1 receptor agonist that enhances glucose-dependent insulin secretion and reduces glucagon release.
