Uses
Used for remission induction and consolidation in acute non-lymphocytic leukemias.
Do not use if
Contraindicated in patients with prior resistance to thioguanine or hypersensitivity to the drug.
Side effects
Myelosuppression, infection risk, anemia, thrombocytopenia, and liver toxicity may occur.
Warnings
Requires close blood count and liver monitoring. Not recommended for long-term maintenance therapy due to hepatotoxicity risk.
