Uses

Used for the treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder and certain depressive or anxiety-related conditions.

Do not use if

Contraindicated with MAOI therapy and in patients with hypersensitivity to clomipramine or related tricyclic antidepressants.

May cause dry mouth, constipation, nausea, dizziness, somnolence, and tremor.

Monitor for suicidal thoughts, especially during treatment initiation and dose changes.

Clomipramine inhibits serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake, enhancing neurotransmission.

Store at room temperature.
