Uses

Used for major depressive disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder, bulimia nervosa, and other psychiatric conditions.

Do not use if

Contraindicated with MAO inhibitors and in patients with hypersensitivity to fluoxetine.

Nausea, insomnia, anxiety, headache, sweating, and sexual dysfunction may occur.

Monitor for suicidal thoughts, serotonin syndrome, and mood changes, especially early in treatment.

Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) that enhances serotonergic neurotransmission.

Store at room temperature.
