Uses

Used for treatment of relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis in adults, particularly when alternative therapies are unsuitable or ineffective.

Do not use if

Current malignancy, pregnancy, and patients not using effective contraception during and after treatment as recommended.

May cause lymphopenia, infections, headache, hematologic toxicity, and increased risk of malignancy.

Associated with risks of malignancy, teratogenicity, lymphopenia, and serious infections.

Purine nucleoside analogue that reduces B- and T-lymphocyte populations through effects on DNA synthesis.

Store at room temperature in the original packaging.
