Uses
Used to support bile acid therapy in selected hepatobiliary disorders and cholesterol gallstone management.
Do not use if
Complete biliary obstruction, hypersensitivity, or non-functioning gallbladder in certain cases.
Side effects
May cause diarrhea, abdominal discomfort, nausea, or elevated liver enzymes.
Warnings
Liver function monitoring may be required during prolonged therapy.
