Uses
Used for gastroesophageal reflux disease, erosive esophagitis, and acid-related disorders.
Do not use if
Hypersensitivity to esomeprazole, benzimidazole derivatives, or formulation components.
Side effects
Headache, abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea, and flatulence may occur.
Warnings
Long-term use may increase risk of vitamin B12 deficiency, fractures, and hypomagnesemia.
