Do not use if
Glaucoma, obstructive uropathy, achalasia, myasthenia gravis, stenosing peptic ulcer, and hypersensitivity to orphenadrine. Avoid concurrent use with propoxyphene.
Side effects
Dry mouth, blurred vision, urinary retention, constipation, tachycardia, dizziness, and drowsiness are common anticholinergic effects. Central nervous system excitation may occur at high doses.
Warnings
Use with caution in the elderly due to fall risk and cognitive effects. Avoid in patients with cardiovascular disease. May impair the ability to drive or operate machinery.
How it works
Orphenadrine is a centrally acting skeletal muscle relaxant and antimuscarinic agent. It reduces spasm by inhibiting central polysynaptic reflexes. Its anticholinergic activity is comparable to diphenhydramine. It also has mild analgesic and euphoric properties.
Storage
Store below 25°C in a dry place away from light. Keep out of reach of children.
