Uses

Used for candidemia, invasive candidiasis, esophageal candidiasis, and prevention of Candida infections in selected patients.

Do not use if

Hypersensitivity to micafungin, other echinocandins, or formulation components.

Infusion reactions, liver enzyme elevations, hematologic abnormalities, renal effects, and hypersensitivity reactions may occur.

Serious hypersensitivity reactions including anaphylaxis may occur. Monitor liver, blood, and kidney function.

Echinocandin antifungal that inhibits fungal cell wall synthesis.

Store as directed by the manufacturer and protect unreconstituted vials appropriately.
