Uses
Treatment of metastatic malignant melanoma. Also used as part of combination therapy for Hodgkin lymphoma.
Do not use if
Hypersensitivity to dacarbazine.
Side effects
Severe nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, myelosuppression, and fatigue are common.
Warnings
Use only under supervision of experienced oncology specialists. Severe bone marrow suppression and hepatic toxicity may occur.
How it works
An antineoplastic alkylating agent that interferes with DNA replication and tumor cell growth.
