Uses

Used in selected non-small cell lung cancers and malignant pleural mesothelioma, alone or in combination regimens.

Do not use if

Contraindicated in patients with severe hypersensitivity reactions to pemetrexed.

May cause myelosuppression, fatigue, nausea, rash, renal toxicity, and infection risk.

Monitor blood counts, kidney function, and signs of severe toxicity. Folic acid and vitamin B12 supplementation are commonly required.

A folate antimetabolite that inhibits several folate-dependent enzymes required for DNA and RNA synthesis.

Store according to manufacturer recommendations and protect from inappropriate temperatures.
