Uses

Used for treatment of iron deficiency anemia, particularly when oral iron therapy is ineffective, not tolerated, or unsuitable.

Do not use if

Iron overload disorders, anemia not caused by iron deficiency, or hypersensitivity to the product.

Hypotension, nausea, headache, dizziness, injection-site reactions, and hypersensitivity reactions may occur.

Monitor for hypersensitivity reactions during and after administration.

An intravenous iron complex that replenishes iron stores required for hemoglobin synthesis and red blood cell production.

Store according to manufacturer instructions and protect from freezing.
