Used for certain cancers, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, and juvenile idiopathic arthritis.

Do not use if

Contraindicated in pregnancy for non-neoplastic indications and in patients with severe hypersensitivity to methotrexate.

Myelosuppression, nausea, mucositis, hepatotoxicity, pulmonary toxicity, and infections may occur.

Can cause severe bone marrow, liver, lung, and fetal toxicity. Requires close monitoring.

Antimetabolite that inhibits dihydrofolate reductase and interferes with DNA synthesis and cell replication.
