Uses
Used for the treatment of Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in children, adolescents, and adults.
Do not use if
Contraindicated with MAO inhibitors, narrow-angle glaucoma, pheochromocytoma, severe cardiovascular disorders, and hypersensitivity to atomoxetine.
Side effects
Nausea, decreased appetite, fatigue, somnolence, dry mouth, dizziness, and constipation may occur.
Warnings
May increase suicidal thoughts in children and adolescents. Monitor mood, behavior, and cardiovascular status.
How it works
Selective norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor that increases norepinephrine activity in the central nervous system.
