Uses
Used in the treatment of metastatic colorectal cancer, either alone or in combination chemotherapy regimens.
Do not use if
Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to irinotecan or formulation components.
Side effects
May cause severe diarrhea, neutropenia, nausea, vomiting, alopecia, anemia, and fatigue.
Warnings
Severe diarrhea and myelosuppression may be life-threatening and require close monitoring.
How it works
Irinotecan is a topoisomerase I inhibitor whose active metabolite interferes with DNA replication in cancer cells.

Store at 20–25°C and protect from light.
