Used with diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Do not use if

Contraindicated in severe renal impairment, metabolic acidosis, and hypersensitivity to either component.

Diarrhea, nausea, abdominal discomfort, headache, and nasopharyngitis may occur.

Monitor for lactic acidosis, pancreatitis, and declining renal function.

Combines metformin, which reduces hepatic glucose production, with a DPP-4 inhibitor that enhances incretin activity.

Store at 20–25°C and protect from humidity.
