Uses
Used for hypertension, angina pectoris, and reduction of cardiovascular risk in selected patients.
Do not use if
Contraindicated in sinus bradycardia, advanced heart block, cardiogenic shock, overt heart failure, and hypersensitivity.
Side effects
Bradycardia, fatigue, dizziness, cold extremities, and hypotension may occur.
Warnings
Do not discontinue abruptly. Use cautiously in heart failure, diabetes, and bronchospastic disease.
How it works
Selective beta-1 adrenergic receptor blocker that reduces heart rate and cardiac workload.
