Uses

Used for prophylaxis of deep vein thrombosis after certain surgeries and for treatment of deep vein thrombosis or pulmonary embolism.

Do not use if

Active major bleeding, severe renal impairment, bacterial endocarditis, thrombocytopenia associated with fondaparinux, or hypersensitivity.

Bleeding, anemia, thrombocytopenia, and injection-site reactions may occur.

Risk of serious bleeding and spinal or epidural hematomas in patients undergoing spinal procedures.

Selective Factor Xa inhibitor that potentiates antithrombin III activity and interrupts coagulation.

Store according to labeled conditions at controlled room temperature.
