Uses
Used to manage hypertension in patients requiring combination therapy.
Do not use if
Contraindicated in hypersensitivity, anuria, or ACE inhibitor–associated angioedema history.
Side effects
May cause dizziness, cough, low blood pressure, electrolyte disturbances, or kidney function changes.
Warnings
Monitor renal function and electrolytes during treatment.
How it works
Benazepril reduces angiotensin II formation while hydrochlorothiazide promotes diuresis.
