Uses

Used for prevention and treatment of vitamin B12 deficiency and related megaloblastic anemia.

Do not use if

Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to vitamin B12 preparations.

Usually well tolerated. Rarely may cause headache, nausea, or allergic reactions.

Keep out of reach of children and use under medical supervision in deficiency states.

Essential vitamin involved in DNA synthesis, red blood cell production, and neurological function.

Store at 20–25°C in a cool dry place away from heat, light, and moisture.
