Uses

Used for major depressive disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder, social anxiety disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, and PTSD.

Do not use if

Contraindicated with MAO inhibitors, thioridazine, pimozide, and in patients with hypersensitivity to paroxetine.

Nausea, insomnia, somnolence, sexual dysfunction, sweating, and dry mouth may occur.

May increase suicidal thoughts in young patients and can cause serotonin syndrome or withdrawal symptoms if stopped abruptly.

Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor that increases serotonergic neurotransmission in the brain.

Store at room temperature.
