Uses
Used for treatment of hypertension when combination therapy is appropriate.
Do not use if
Contraindicated in hypersensitivity, history of ACE inhibitor-associated angioedema, anuria, and pregnancy.
Side effects
May cause dizziness, hypotension, cough, electrolyte disturbances, and renal function changes.
Warnings
Discontinue immediately if pregnancy occurs. Monitor renal function and electrolytes.
How it works
Combines an ACE inhibitor with a thiazide diuretic to lower blood pressure through complementary mechanisms.
