Used for major depressive disorder, particularly when other treatments have failed.

Do not use if

Contraindicated with many serotonergic drugs and certain medical conditions.

Insomnia, dizziness, dry mouth, headache, and blood pressure changes may occur.

Requires dietary restrictions and careful monitoring for drug interactions.

An irreversible monoamine oxidase inhibitor that increases neurotransmitter levels.
