Uses

Aminoglycoside antibiotic used for susceptible bacterial infections, including topical eye, skin, and other localized infections.

Do not use if

Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to gentamicin or formulation components.

Local irritation, burning, redness, itching, and allergic reactions may occur.

Prolonged use may promote resistant organisms or fungal overgrowth. Use only as directed.

Binds to the bacterial 30S ribosomal subunit and inhibits protein synthesis, producing bactericidal activity.

Store at room temperature and protect sterile preparations from contamination.
