Do not use if

Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to mecobalamin or cobalt. Use with caution in patients with polycythemia vera or Leber's hereditary optic neuropathy.

Side effects

Generally well tolerated. Rare side effects include nausea, diarrhea, skin rash, and anorexia. Hypersensitivity reactions are uncommon.

How it works

Mecobalamin is the neurologically active coenzyme form of vitamin B12. It participates in methionine synthesis via methionine synthase, promotes axonal myelination, and supports nucleotide and myelin synthesis, facilitating nerve regeneration and function.

Storage

Store at room temperature below 25°C, protected from light. Avoid exposure to high humidity.
